A break in the rain
If you watch the news you’ve probably seen that it’s been raining, a lot, here. That seems like an understatement, but what do I know. There hasn’t been any flooding here, so that’s good. Just wet…everywhere, everything.
Yesterday was finally clear-ish, so the dogs and I headed for the beach. All of us were about ready to climb the walls, so I was super grateful for a break in the rain.
Torrey was really glad to get out and run.
Even Roxy got some running and playing in.
Me, I looked for glass, threw sticks for Torrey, and enjoyed what little sunshine we got. This sea glass is addicting. Especially when I find the rare colors, like this red. Now I have to figure out what I’m going to do with it all.
I did find some great ceramic pieces too.
I see multiple mosaics in my future. I did wire wrap a few pieces to make a mobile. I’m just getting it finished, so photos in the future.
And, we finally figured out exactly when we are getting out of here. I’ve been waiting to hear the plans of my son who lives in LA. He is leaving there and will be in Utah for a couple weeks. So we want to time our trip south so we can stop in Utah for a few days, then continue on to the desert. We’ll leave here on Jan. 1st, probably take a few days to get to Utah, then regroup, and head south. I can’t even tell you how good that sounds, the desert. Sunshine, dryness, vast open spaces.
This is going to be a long 3 weeks though.
