I know it’s been a while since I posted an Artsy Fartsy Tuesday, but we really have been busy. Al isn’t happy if he’s not creating something or other, so he is starting on a new sculpture. We get lots of people at art shows that loooove eagles, and why doesn’t Al sculpt one of those? So, he worked up a design, and got started on one. Not wanting to do yet another eagle sitting on yet another rock, he came up with this idea.
The eagle is attempting to catch the rabbit, can you see the rabbit in the foreground? This sculpture is in the very beginning stages, so not a lot of detail yet.
It’s not a huge sculpture either, which is very good for the buyers. Not everyone can afford, nor do they want a huge sculpture.
This shows the very start of the feather detail. If you have seen Al’s sculptures, you know that he takes the time to make the feathers very realistic. Not every feather on a bird is exactly the same, but you would be amazed how many sculptors do them that way.
Since we are in Jackson Hole for a bit, Al has been going to the Grand Teton Gallery, and working on this sculpture. People like to meet the artist, so this is a great opportunity.
Me, I have been doing a little beading, and working on my photography. I am enjoying the 100 Days project a ton. Here is day 12.
