The past 4 days have been a blast! We have been coming to the Camp Henry rendezvous for 5 years, and we love it. They were forced to move this year, but it was a great move, to a very nice site. We had the river, lots of trees, and even a pair of bald eagles that soared above our heads. Roxy and Torrey were super happy too, because they got to spend a lot more time with us. We did all the usual, shooting, throwing, archery, the works.
I was able to get some good photos before we started all the playing though. This is our good friend Hombre. Al is 6 ft, that tells you how big Hombre is.
This was a new person we met, kinda on the thin side though.
There were several traders with very nice stuff to buy.
This guy made great hats. Authentically made from beaver pelts.
At night we had wonderful entertainment provided by Harry Harpoon. We have listened to him at several rendezvous, and it’s always a good time. There were a lot of kids in camp this year, and this group had an absolute blast playing music with Harry. The girl on the end played the plastic spoons, and I have to tell you, she was awesome. The boy sitting next to Harry played the jaw-harp. He was excellent too and was dancing and having an awesome time.
This is what it’s all about!
Of course there were kids games, Roxy loves kids games and had to get in on the fun
She had to see what Grandma Grizz had in her basket of goodies.
We had a trade blanket out too. Mike was next to us and Roxy did her part making sure he was well rested and relaxed.
Al competed in the Idaho state hawk and knife championship. He took third place, in a very very close contest.
More friends made, more good times had.
Another wonderful rendezvous!!
