10 Must Have Dog Products for Summer Fun

10 Must Have Dog Products for Summer Fun

This post contains affiliate links.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about dog products I’ve reviewed over the years. I have some definite favorites, and they are products that are especially useful for the summer months, and having fun with the dogs. Since so many people spend more time outdoors with their dogs, I wanted to share these 10 must have dog products for summer fun.

Of course getting there safely is the number one important rule. Car accidents happen, and when they do, you want to make sure your dogs are safe. SleepyPod is the number one safety product for dogs of all sizes. Crash test dummy tested products, ensure that dogs are protected in case of an accident.

The Clickit Sport is perfect for medium to large dogs. Click this link to see my review on the Clickit Sport.

Of course small dogs are in just as much danger, if not more in the case of an accident. They can be tossed around the inside of the vehicle, and injured, or possibly killed. The SleepyPod mobile pet bed is perfect for little dogs simply by keeping them contained, and in a safe spot. Click here to read my review of the SleepyPod mobile pet bed.

I want to share these awesome finds with you

I want to share these awesome finds with you

I have found some cool stuff recently, and I want to share these awesome finds with you.

Maybe I am the last person on the planet to get stuff from Shutterfly, but maybe not. When we were in Arizona we shopped at Safeway, I really miss that store, they were doing the Monopoly game, where you get playing pieces every time you shop. We were hoping for the big win, which didn’t happen, but we did get quite a bit of free stuff. One game piece was for a free reusable shopping bag from Shutterfly, so I got on their site to check it out. I was impressed to see how cute they are, and how many different designs you can get. Of course the big draw is putting your own photo on it.

shopping bag

It’s a nice size, and a durable nylon. I love the idea of reusable shopping bags, but I never, remember to take them in the store. That’s the best part of these bags, they roll up really small so I can put it in my purse. And I carry a small purse.

Backcountry Dogs, Deserve Merrick Backcountry Food and Treats

Backcountry Dogs, Deserve Merrick Backcountry Food and Treats

Living full time in our RV, we are inherently very outdoorsy. We were before moving into the RV, but now we are more than ever. We definitely prefer the back road way of life, to being in town any day.

Torrey and Roxy absolutely love this life. They get to walk or hike in the backcountry almost everyday. All those new places, all those new smells. Keeping them fit and healthy is a huge priority for me. Not only is it sometimes hard to find a vet, but of course I want to avoid the vet if we can. Feeding them healthy food and treats is a great start for healthy dogs.

Torrey has been eating Merrick dog food for quite some time. I’m pretty picky about what my dogs eat and I feel good about the quality, and the ingredients in Merrick.

Merrick’s Backcountry is a wonderful combination of high quality, high protein kibble and freeze dried raw pieces.

I love that it’s grain free, but Torrey just cares that it’s tasty. Merrick also has just the freeze dried raw pieces. These can be added to kibble, or moistened and served as a wet food. This is a great option for raw feeders, or people like us with limited space for storing things.
