If you’ve been following along on the blog lately, you know that Al has been working his tail off to get these tables and chairs done so we can head south for the winter.
Well, they are done! 4 tables, and 16 chairs. What started out as a huge pile of parts, has now been carved, sanded, stained and put together.
It’s about impossible to get good photos in the shop, so bear with me.
This is the skirt of the tables. Al had to carve all those aspen trees individually then apply them on.
The spindles on the back of the chairs are juniper. We collected it a few months ago.
The seats of the chairs are bison leather. The client has a bison ranch, so this was perfect.
I only took photos of a couple of the table tops. These photos show the deer, wolf, and bird tracks. There are also sandhill crane, bear, bobcat, and squirrel.
We packed everything into a U-haul trailer yesterday and we will be on the road to Wyoming this morning. We’ll spend the night on the ranch, then return tomorrow. It’s a quick trip, but that’s OK, it’s nice to be on the road again.
