We are so excited. Daisy the cutest Havachon ever, over at Raising Daisy, awarded us the Kreativ blogger award. Winning the award means we get to share ten things you might not know about us, and we get to pass the award onto 6 blogs we like. So lets get started. I’m lucky I have two great pups to talk about, so I can divide up the ten things you might not know between them. First up is Roxy, well of course, it is her blog. 1. Roxy was born on Christmas day in 2004. I got her from my brother, who said when he got home from Christmas dinner at moms, there were four tiny puppies. I took Roxy home when she was just 6 weeks old. She was pretty tiny as you can imagine. 2. Roxy really does like to travel. When we start putting things in our trailer to go, she gets so excited. She loves going to rendezvous, and absolutely is the princess there. 3. She still pretends that she only tolerates Torrey. I know better though. She will go after Torrey so they can wrestle and play. One time when we were traveling, Al opened the door of the trailer to find both dogs snuggled together in the chair. Ha, caught. 4. She is not afraid of big dogs, at all. Little dog syndrome for sure. 5. I had Roxy for a year and a half, before I got Al. At first she would snuggle with me and sometimes with him. Now after several years of going to the shop with him, and everywhere else for that matter, she loves him just as much. And now Torrey 1. Torrey came from a litter of 11 pups. I’m sure we picked the best one though. We knew we wanted a girl. They’re smarter and just all around better. We had our eye on the red merle in the group, just by looking at the pictures. She turned out to be very dominant and hyper. Not a good pick with Roxy around. With a house full of people, and puppies, Torrey took a nap on the floor. She was the one for us. 2. When we go hiking, Torrey will jump through the brush like a bunny. So funny. 3. She is the biggest creature of habit I’ve ever seen. We don’t need to wear a watch, because she does. Switching the time back messed her up worse than us. And she has to have a couple of cheerios in the morning when Al gets his. She will come running for the door from the backyard, when she hears him get the box out. Which brings me to… 4. Selective hearing. Just like a kid. She was barking in the backyard one morning. We yelled out the open window for her to be quite. She ignored us. But the second she heard the cheerios, wham, 90 miles an hour to the door. 5. She is incredibly faithful and loving to us. Al has been sick this past week, and awake in the night because of sinus headache. I don’t know if this is the faithful or the creature of habit Torrey. But she woke me up several nights in a row to tell me that Al was not in bed and what was I going to do about it. She would sit with him on those nights too, and was pretty glued to his side during the day. And now the six blogs I am passing this onto. 1. Brando and Bogart – These guys are just so stinking cute!! 2. Alfies blog – One of the co founders of the Monday Mischief blog hop. And a very fun blog too. 3. Sew Doggy style – The cutest dog fashions, of course this blog is creative. Great how to’s and fun info all around. 4. Bringing up Bella – This is a great blog about Bella who was found on the streets of Puerto Rico. It’s the ongoing story of her people loving her, and the love they get in return. 5. Dakota’s den – Dakota is one of the cutest dogs in the blogosphere, and her mom writes this blog and another one. Great cute stories, you get to see Dakota. 6. Dogs rock – These guys crack me up. It seems like every picture is of them running for joy. One greyhound and two whippets, you can only imagine. And they are cute too! So visit all these great blogs, if you haven’t already, and give them a nice hello. Thanks again Daisy for the award.
