We are heading to the desert where I am pretty sure we won’t have internet for a few days. So here is the wrap up of the Anasazi free trappers rendezvous. We had a great time. I got to see most of my old friends, and made some new ones. [nggallery id=21] The weather was a little chilly, and pretty windy, but it was fun anyway. Mom and dad played hard, they did the hawk and knife throw, rifle shoot and archery. The hawk and knife at this rendezvous is the hardest anywhere. The rifle is pretty tough too. Little metal targets hanging in the trees. The archery course is our favorite. You walk through the trees and shoot 3d animals. 18 targets in all. We were wiped out Saturday evening, except mom who took the pictures of us all napping. It’s hard work playing like that. And of course I am the rendezvous princess, and have to meet and greet everyone. They all love me. This morning was the awards council fire. Mom tied for first place in the hawk and knife throw. She had a throw off with our friend Myra, and took second. But, she was first in the archery (again) and got another great bow from Barking beard. He deserved a kiss after that. He’s a funny old man, we like him a lot. So, another awesome rendezvous ends. Sad. We are headed for some great hiking this week though. We will say hi when we can.
