Shop dog report for 10/7/11
Wow, when was the last time I had a shop dog report? Oh yeah, before we left for Jackson Hole.
Dad has been working on a fun little project this week. A client wanted a reproduction of a chair he had seen in an antique shop. The chair was originally built as a child size chair, but the client wanted it a little larger.
I think it’s very cute. It will have a nice dark stain on it once it’s done.
Mom has been pretty busy too. She is making jewelry to sell on the Desert Raven Art website, and also at the Heber Cowboy poetry show in a few weeks. All the jewelry will be made from very old antique trade beads. Most of these beads are hundreds of years old. What is that in dogs years? I can’t even think about it.
When we were in Jackson Hole, mom was wearing her trade bead jewelry everyday. So many people loved it, that she decided to add the jewelry to her growing list of things to make.
If you would like more information on the antique trade beads,
go to Desert Raven Art- Old trade beads.
Hey Roxy,
That Bear is cool!! And I wonder wear your Mum gets those beads from that are so old, always something interesting on going on in your house!!
Have fun,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Ya the bear chair is going to be great. Mom is getting the beads from a friend who has collected them forever. They’re pretty neat.
Can’t wait to see the finished jewelry. The beads look great! Have a good weekend! :)
The finished jewelry is turning out awesome.
Happy World Smile Day! :) Love the bracelets!
Woofs & hugs, <3
