Wow, we received the Versatile Blogger Award from Opie’s mom’s blog. What the heck is that, you might be asking. It’s an award that bloggers can pass along to blogs that they like. Something they find interesting and different. As part of receiving the award, the recipient must pass it along to 15 other blogs. Then, list 7 seven things about themselves. Well, I have been thinking about what I could possibly say that hasn’t been said on this blog. So here are some little tidbits about us. #1 – I started blogging January 22nd 2011. So you could say I am a baby blogger in the world of blogging. I started the blog as a way to bring art to people in a fun and different way. My husband and I are both artists, so I wanted to get our art out there more. And having the featured artist every week is great too. Having Roxy help me, was a fun way to accomplish this. The traveling dog part was a natural fit. We travel as much as we can, and she love’s it! #2 – In February I quit my day job. I was a secretary for the past 15 years in the Newborn ICU at our local hospital. Amazing place to work. Great people and great things happening almost every day. I miss the people, but not the job. #3 – I met my husband exactly 5 years ago. We ran into each other a couple times at these dances they used to have for single people. Me and my friend would go and have fun. After the third time, all a month apart, I called a mutual friend and asked her for Al’s phone number. I asked him if he would like to go on a Harley ride. We each had bikes. He said yes, and the rest is history. We were married one year later. The best thing that ever happened to both of us. In 5 years, we have never argued. It’s our anniversary next week. #4 – Favorite things….Camping, hiking, traveling, mountain man rendezvous, bead work, Native American art, family, friends, reading( if I ever have time). #5 – I am in the process of learning Lakota. There is no other way to say you’re learning a language. Sadly, my studies have slowed down as my art work and blogging have picked up. I need to organize my time better. #6 – Roxy, what is there to say. She came to me at a time when I needed the unconditional love of a dog. She was 6 weeks old and tiny. I got her from my brother. His Pomeranian was the puppy daddy. She is the best!! #7 – Torrey. We thought long and hard before getting a puppy. We’re glad we did. She is getting smarter and smarter. I read somewhere that when you get an Aussie, you’re in trouble if you’re not smarter than them. We are trying to not let that happen.
And now, the 15 blogs that I am passing the award onto. Some of these I discovered recently, and some I have been following for a while. In no special order.1- Jess and I have much in common. She hikes all over with her two doxies, and she loves the outdoors too. http://youdidwhatwithyourweiner.com/ 2- Debby writes for Kirby the Dorkie.
