Thursday thoughts with Torrey – My home grown hair cut
Well, it happened. Mom decided that rather than pay the professional groomers $50 every 8 weeks, that she would get a clipper and trim me herself. Keeping my long thick Aussie coat short, is good for me, and much easier for mom.
Does she have experience at this…no, has she been trained….no. Did she at least read a book or look something up on line…no. Do you I look at least kinda Ok…..I suppose.
Mom hoisted me up onto the picnic table in our camp spot. Ya, that’s great…people could see me getting a haircut. She had a plastic bag right there to put all my hair into, can’t make a mess of the campground. I was very good and stood still, mostly. I have to say, this was a little better than going to the doggie spa for half the day.
There was this mishap on one side, a little too close with the clippers there mom.
Moms favorite saying is…”A man on a galloping horse will never know the difference.” We never see men on galloping horses, so I’m not sure how that relates to my hair cut.
Thankfully, my hair grows real fast so I won’t look too bad for too long.
I would say over all though, mom did a good job and I got treats for being so good. I did not get the pink bows in my ears this time though. Sheesh. The hardest part for mom was trimming my extremely hairy feet. If anyone has pointers for this part of it all, pass them along.
