Since we are trying to regroup this week, and coming up with new ideas, there is not an actual Shop dog report today. But I do have a report on a new art event that dad participated in. The Western Art Rodeo.
This is a brand new event. The first art rodeo took place at the Sundance resort in Utah on April 29th and 30th. The concept for the Art Rodeo is similar to real rodeo. There are three rounds, and each piece of art is judged by three judges. If you score well on the first round, you advance to the second round with a different piece of art. And if you score well there, you get to go to the finals with still another piece. Only the top four pieces advance to the next round. Each judges score is worth up to 33 points, for a possible total score of 99 points per piece in each round.
“Listen” scored 86 points in the first round to take second place.
“The Story Teller” Scored 60 in round two to place seventh.
So for the whole show, Al placed 3rd. We couldn’t be at the show, but we hear it was a great show and a very fun time.If you would be interested in learning more about the WARA, or competing in the next event in November, click the banner link above or the button in the sidebar.
