A break in the rain — 12 Comments

  1. That one red piece says, “Stand out and be different.” GORGEOUS. And we too have been getting more rain rather than snow….STRANGE for us here in the upper midwest! Happy day, Mary!

  2. Yes, it seems to be an usual season of rain.
Glad to hear you’ll be heading back to the sunshine you miss so much.
While it’s great to visit different places, heading home is always nice :-)

  3. Hello, I love your cute pups. So glad the rain stopped and you were all able to get out for a walk. The sea glass and ceramics are so pretty, great finds. Happy Tuesday!

  4. we have a lot of rain too… it looks like venice on my street :o) maybe I will find some sea glass that way too?
one of our neighbor made a mosaic for pond with koi carps, I always watch them a while when we pass his property, it looks like a piece of 1001 nights somehow :o)

  5. Sorry to hear about the rain, it’s been raining a lot here too, but not as much as there I’m sure. So our walks have been missed and postponed. Mom’s friend Sharon met up with Jessica for a nice long hike on Saturday in the rain. It’s nice to see the dogs enjoying themselves. Love Dolly

  6. Our weather is warm, gray, and wet like Seattle so far this month and we all hate it. If we don’t get cold and snow, why live here? So very depressing.

  7. As I’ve said before, I’m so jealous of all that great sea-glass and ceramic stuff your finding! Hopefully you’ll have some more dry weather so you can enjoy it until you get back to the desert!

  8. Hope 3 weeks go faster than you expect. Heck, you might even see the sun once or twice. :)

Can’t wait to see what you do with all your sea glass. It might be interesting to combine it with something from the desert to show the effect of water and air erosion.

  9. At least the end is in sight! It has been so dry here in NH, it’s been crazy. There’s not a lot of sun though…it’s been cloudy a lot and the days are so short now. I crave the sunshine like you do!
It does look beautiful there on a nice day though, or maybe it’s just those beautiful girls that make it seem that way! :)

  10. Mary, I’m glad you’re getting out of there, it must be such a relief to you.

I have an idea of what you might be able to do with the sea glass/ceramic stuff. I saw some kind of DIY thing where you build a frame and fill the frame with the glass/rocks. I tried to include a link but it wouldn’t let me. You can google it though. They do it with frames and mirrors too. They’re pretty awesome looking.
