A Photoshop Victory
A Photoshop Victory
The photo prompt this week from The Daily Post is Victory. These photos were a definite victory for me because I learned some new things about Photoshop. If you follow the Tales from the back road Facebook page, then you already saw these photos. Sorry, you get to see them again.
I took both of these photos on my visit to Seattle last week. I love street art, but never see it, so I never get the chance to photograph it. Both of these were painted on the outside of a 3 story apartment building.
My victory in all this was taking what little bit I do know about Photoshop, playing and experimenting more, and getting the desired effect I wanted.
It took a long time, I made several mistakes and had to start all over, but in the end…I won.
I used this same technique on the photo I showed last Friday, and this one too. By the time I got to the 4th photo, I was a little bit more accomplished at this.
That’s a win in my book.
All of these photos are available for sale on my website, Mary Hone Photography.
I wish I couls say the same, after a battle with photoshop we had a winner too… but it wasn’t me LOL
I so agree that any new trick you can learn and use effectively in Photoshop IS A VICTORY! It is such an intense and complicated program, and I’ve only mastered a few basics. These look wonderful, Mary, and I can’t wait to learn more. Happy day!
It’s definitely satisfying to learn something new! Now I neeed to figure out what you did. lol
I love street art, your image is really amazing, congratulations on your triumph.
That really is a new direction for your photography, and it’s beautiful. Street art can be amazing, there are such talented young artists out there – I just wish they would get the recognition they deserve.
I love the effects, colors. Amazing work using PS, Mary. :)
Very cool images!
Very nice effects!
I haven’t. But even if I had—with these, I wouldn’t have minded. :)
It’s fun to learn something new, isn’t it? The process can be frustrating, but the satisfaction at the accomplishment is great!
