We truly had an amazing time at Blogpaws. I’m so glad we decided to go after all, I would have hated to miss all the experiences I had. I want to give a HUGE thanks to Garth Riley’s mom. When we decided to go to Blogpaws, I got onto facebook to let my friends know, and she had just that second posted she had free tickets to give away. I was able to get an extra ticket for Al, and he went with me to the sessions, and all the events. He had a great time, and also came away with a greater understanding of what I actually do, and some knowledge and ideas to guide the blog into it’s next phase.
Of course the very best part was hanging out with my blog buddies, we had a great time!
The sessions I attended were incredibly informative. I really came away with some valuable knowledge, and great ideas to get the blog jump started to the next level. I have been blogging for 3 1/2 years and I did kinda wonder if there would be value for me in the sessions. I chose to attend the advanced classes, and was not disappointed. I also have a renewed energy for blogging. Something that I really needed.
The dogs did amazingly well. I knew that Roxy would, she was certain that everyone was there to see her. Here is Roxy with Jodi from Kols Notes. She was going between Jodi, and Carrie from Tales and Tails in the last session of the weekend. I thought I might lose a dog that day. LOL
Shmoozing with Flea from Jones Natural chews. And yes it worked, she got treats and loves.
We met Sophia Loren from Little dog in the big city. We have been fans of hers for a long time. She has also bought a couple of beaded dog jackets from me, one of which ended up with Robert Redford. She had a giveaway for a bag from Pet Flys. The package was for a great dog carrying bag, plus toys, and food samples. And we won! It was so much easier for carrying Roxy around, and she loves that it’s soft and plush inside.
We also got to meet a crew that we have really wanted to meet. The Cascadian Nomads. I have to tell you, Bethany is wonder woman in disguise. She wrestled all the dogs, and the bird in a stroller, all by herself! And stayed in a tent. Yep, wonder woman!
Meanwhile, we stayed here. The campground was about 8 miles away from the Westin, and we loved it.
The resort itself was amazingly beautiful. The grounds were so serene, the plants and water features were incredible.
I can’t even start to list and mention all the bloggers, and dogs we got to meet. This post would go on forever and I would probably forget someone anyway. So to all the bloggers I got to meet and get to know know better, I am so glad we did. It was a blast!!
