It’s been busy. We are in the middle of 4 shows in 4 weeks. This past weekend we were back in Jackson Hole {{{YEAH}}} and did an art show in town. We are loving these Art and Antique shows we have done this year. We did the same shows last year, and just love the ladies that promote and run the shows. In a word, they are awesome! Good promoters make for a pleasant and well run show. Our last show with them for the year is this weekend in Teton Village. Then we will head to the Fort Bridger rendezvous. This year instead of playing and hanging out, we will be peddling our wares. This is the largest rendezvous any where I think. Lots of people, means lots of sales.
Hopefully we will sell all the beadwork pieces. I am ready to move on from doing beadwork. I am burned out on it, and it’s a tough way to make any money. Nobody wants to pay what you really should be asking for a piece based on the time invested. So, I am going to focus on my other passion, photography. I have talked to several photographers this year at shows, and have gotten good info on printing and all that. I want to print and sell my photos online, and at shows. Doing the 100 Days Project has been so much fun, and has really enabled me to think outside the box with my photography. My goal at the end of this project is to create a book with all the images.
Here are the latest images from that project.
Some days are better than others, but that’s the way it goes. LOL
I have also created a photography page with what I feel are some great images. Right now, I can take orders on 5 x 7 notecards, or flat prints up to 11 x 14. So if you see something you love, email me to place an order.
The nice thing about the art world, change is inevitable. You just have to go with the flow.
You have great photos and I can see them selling well. That bead work would never pay what it should, but you do it well. We would love to do something with our goofy photos, but haven’t figured out how yet. Maybe one day! In the meantime, keep snapping that camera shutter.
We so wish you good luck in your photographic venture. We so understand that the amount of time it takes to do the bead work rarely pays back. So sad that but we so hope the new projects goes well. Fingers and paws crossed for you. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Good luck with your new endeavor! We understand about the beadwork and not being rewarded for your hard work. Look forward to seeing all the action at the shows! Love Dolly
good luck on your current art shows/displays and your future, too!
it was stormy last night. The howling wind came blowing in around ten pm from the south. As I lay there thinking about the day we had…….Up early this morning to get the first day of school started and await our new arrival of Daisy the Alpine dairy goat who will be Lucy our other dairy goats new companion. I had to order her quickly from the universe and that’s what she sent. Only a mile away.
I think change is inevitable in everything, I’m glad you are okay with where the change is taking you.
I think most artists would agree whether it be painting, sculpting, beading, quilting etc….that you never really get paid for the time you put into it.
Your photos throughout this 100 day project have been amazing, for what’s it worth I think you will do well in your next endeavor. :-)
wow! Such amazing photos!

I think you will do very, very well with your photography!
