Artsy Fartsy Tuesday – Horses in the art and other pretty things
Al has continued to work on the small horse head sculpture, adding the horse mask, and quite a bit of detail. I am really liking what he has got so far, I think it will be a good seller. The idea behind doing a smaller piece was to make it more affordable for more people. Almost everyone enjoys art, but not everyone can afford 1000’s of dollars for a piece.
I beaded a small medicine pouch with a horse on the front. This horse is the same as one I saw on a cradle board in a museum.
We left our beautiful spot yesterday, and now we are camped near Swan Valley Idaho right on the Snake river. We are going to be in Alpine, Wyoming this weekend selling our wares. There is a rendezvous type gathering there, mostly people are just selling, and looking at stuff. No fun events like shooting or throwing knives. (dang)
I took more fabulous photos of the area before we left, and will post a few later in the week. Monday night we went to Mesa Falls, and then drove down a dirt road that went out in the wilderness for miles. It was beautiful!! So I got some amazing photos.
I started a Flickr page too, because I have way more photos than I can ever fit on this blog. So if you would like to see more photos of the beautiful area we were in, go to my Flickr page.
Here are a couple of my favorites though.
