Creepy? Maybe
Creepy? Maybe
The photo prompt this week from The Daily Post is creepy.
I try to not take creepy photos, I suppose everyone does. So this weeks challenge was…..challenging.
We drove into Yellowstone the other evening hoping to find some wildlife, or something cool to photograph. We saw one lone bison, and a couple of cow elk. Nothing to write home about. We did stop at one of the geyser areas, and I took some photos there. It is kinda creepy to think about all that heat, and pressure under the earth, right where you are standing. They say if the Yellowstone caldera ever blew it’s top, the western US would be pretty much wiped out. Creepy!
But in the mean time, you can get some pretty cool photos in the geyser areas.
I gave this photo a creepy look with some interesting effects.
We drove into the town of West Yellowstone, MT. on Wednesday, and what is the first thing we see, this crazy set up.
Creepy in a funny kind of way. I think I’ll stick to non creepy photos though.
I LOVE what you did. You stretched the common notion of what “creepy” means to most folks, and you made it surprising, NEW. You made it beautiful to behold! Those geyser photos, YES, that is creepy and beautiful at the same time. The earth, so gorgeous, dangerous, frightening and yet the most beautiful home any human could have.
I really hope Yellowstone does not blow in my lifetime or my son’s. That is a creepy thought. I kind of like the cute bear attack scene, people need to take care in bear territory. Have a happy day!
I needed a minute till the penny dropped… that’s egg-stremely funny… maybe not for the two passengers on the truck bed :o)
I hope mother doesn’t pop her cork!
That last picture is so funny! And it’s not even Halloween! :D I had no idea that the entire US west would be toast if the Yellowstone caldera blew…in fact, I had no idea there was even the remotest possibility. Yes, Nature is beautiful (as your photos always show) with a dangerous undertone in many situations. Kind of like those fairy tales where a creepy witch disguised as beautiful queen offers a beautiful piece of fruit or candy filled with poison to unsuspecting innocents. Those writers had probably studied nature – beautiful, but approach with caution. ;)
Looks like the universe provided you with some creepy after all.
And yeah, the epic power of the earth? Creepy isn’t the first word I’d think of. But it’s definitely unsettling so maybe creepy is just right.
I think you did a great job making a creepy photo even creepier! I try not to take creepy photos too but I admit that sometimes I do. I usually delete them, though. ;)
LOL! Put those in a Halloween folder for October!
That will put you off of bear selfies! Good creepy shot. Love Dolly
Your last photo is just so much fun. :D
Those skellys are pretty creepy. I wonder about the person who put that together.
Ha ha, at least funny makes creepy a little easier to take! Great job on your photo! That was definitely a tough one.
Love the edit! Very Halloween-ish.
