Cute Little Critters, and Big Gnarly Bison
So many people are focused on seeing the big wildlife. I love seeing those guys too, but I also look for the cute little critters when I’m out and about.
I stopped to look for moose the other morning, none that day, but I did see a few cute chipmunks. These guys are always fun to watch, and this little guy was really entertaining.
He climbed way up this weed to get the seeds. Look at the balance that tail provides.
He was trying not to fall, although he did. But he climbed right back up. Love these cute guys.
As I mentioned in my last post, the bison are in the area again. We went out the other evening and had perfect light, and fairly cooperative animals.
I love it when the birds are around, or on the bison. These birds just flew around this big bull as he walked.
There are some massive bulls, and this image shows the size difference between the females, and males. The bulls are staying really close to the girls, following them around like love sick….well….bison.
Of course there are always those that have to prove their strength.
We only saw one fight that evening, but they sure cover some territory while pushing each other around.
As the sun got lower in the sky, some bison to the west of us were kicking up the dust. I love shots like this.
The day ended with a pretty nice sunset.
It’s been a little smoky here, as of yesterday it had pretty much cleared out thankfully. The other morning I was up early and the sunrise was other worldly. It looked like Jupiter coming up, instead of the sun.
Wonders never cease, if you get out and find them.
Hello, I love all your Bison images. The fight was a great action capture. Another favorite is the bison with the birds. The smoke is creating some pretty colorful skies. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day! Have a great new week ahead!
The buffalo photos are gorgeous, but we love chipmunks. They are adorable and my mom loves watching them too.
The bison in the dust are amazing Mary! And that Jupiter Moon… WOW!
Fantastic shots once again my friend!
