I was contacted by Dog Gone Dirt to see if I wanted to review their “Protect and heal salve”.
Their website says, Very gentle and soothing formula to help speed healing in an all natural way. Great for minor cuts, scrapes, burns, hot spots, mild skin irritations, saddle sores and more. Can be used for both dogs, horses and people too. It can also help prevent those nasty winter ice balls from forming between the toes, heals dry, cracked paws, protects and heals paws burns from road salts, heals cuts, scrapes, sores and minor skin irritations that come with winter play, soothes and conditions paw pads to keep them protected during the winter months.
This all sounded great to mom, so we told them yes, and they sent us some to try. Torrey has more problems with her feet in the snow than me, I don’t really have furry feet, but she does.
And the pads on her feet have been getting rough and dry, so this seemed like a good solution.
Mom put some of the salve on her feet when we got it. Torrey didn’t mind, and it seemed to make her feet softer.
Then when we went hiking in the snow, like I told you about yesterday, that seemed like the perfect time to test it too. Torrey always gets snow balls between her toes, but not this time. Mom put some on her feet right before we started hiking, and she didn’t get one snowball. She was thrilled!!
Mom tried it on her dry winter feet, and really liked it. She says it’s very soothing and moisturizing.
I tried some on my little feet, and I have to say, it felt very nice.
We liked the fact that all their products are all natural, and made from high quality ingredients. Dog gone Dirt has a great variety of products for dogs, and horses. From the healing salve, to shampoos, and even loose leaf herbs.
Check out their website and see if their is anything you would like.
