For the past 100 days I have tried to create a beautiful photo, every day. Today is day 100, and so the end of my 100 Days Project.
This has been an amazing thing for me to take part in. The comments I have received from friends, and total strangers on facebook and Google+ have made the whole project special. Quite a few people have suggested I continue on my own. And I suppose in all reality I will. I’m not going to stop taking photos, obviously, so I will continue to share them.
I have learned from the project, and I am a little sad, but relived it’s done. This past month has been hard to find good photo taking ops. When we left Wyoming, I kinda panicked about what on earth I was going to shoot. I knew it would be hard, so that pushed me even more to find SOMETHING, to get my daily photo. (I did cheat a few days and used photos I had taken while we were in Wyoming) Macro has been the theme this past few weeks.
This is day 98. I love the reflection, the colors, the overall feel of this one.
And day 99. When in a bind for a good photo, shoot the dogs cute feet.
Several of the photos from the project are available as prints in different sizes. Check out the ordering on the Photography page. I am also having stretched canvas prints made of some for the upcoming art shows, or they can be ordered too.
I want to thank everyone who liked, shared, commented, or simply admired the photos this past 100 days. That means a lot.
Lots of people have asked if I am going to do a book. I have had that idea from day 1. So yes, I created a book and it is available for sale on Blurb. Click the link to have a look.
If you would like to see the whole project, I created a Pinterest board at the start, and have been pinning all the images there. http://www.pinterest.com/TalesFromBackRd/my-100-days-project/

love the pup paws. :)
Congratulations on this accomplishment Mary. I enjoyed every day. The last 100 days have been, at times, a nightmare for me and my family so sometimes your photos made me teary or reminded me that life goes on. I am glad you might continue because I will miss the inspiration!
Bethany, I’m so sorry to hear that life has been so tough lately for you. It can come at you pretty fast sometimes. Thank you so much for the kind words. If I have made one person feel better, or inspired, then it’s all worth it for me. Take care of yourself!
Awesome! We are going to look at blurb. I want to do a photo book too, but they are so expensive and we don’t know where to do one. Hope your book does well.
Blurb seems to be the favorite for photo books. Not very cheap however.
Congrats on the book and on completing the challenge! Love the pup paws pic!
Jackie, this book was easy, just throw all the pics together. No fabulous writing like you do.
Oh, that’s so sweet. Thanks! :)
What an accomplishment! And you were so organized to pin it as well and get it into book form. I truly enjoyed following your photos!
Thanks Taryn. I am pretty organized when I set out to do something like this. Especially knowing from the start I wanted to do a book.
Pretty images.. You post have been lovely.. The dog’s paws are my favorite.. I also love the top shot..Happy weekend!
you have done an amazing job!
Love, love, love those pictures! They are amazing!
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it so much! I’ve done 365 projects on Flickr for the past 2 years, and it has really stretched me to make a decent photo each day of the year, even on the grayest, dullest days. I, too, turn to macro when the going gets tough. There’s always something beautiful and small, like your leaf!
You sure ended it with a bang….the fall photos are gorgeous!
Stunning, stunning photos! I love them all but I especially love Reflections of Autumn, so gorgeous!
Congratulations. We have followed the journey and really enjoyed it. THe dog’s cute feet is always a good ‘go to’ photo op :)
One of the interesting things about a 100 day project is the way you express the course of a season. It sounds like the challenge really helped to push you.
