We spent Turkey day at my moms house, which was very nice indeed. She is a great cook, and everything was so good. Plus I got to spend time with my ever so cute niece who thinks I am the coolest Aunt in the world. (She will grow up and change her little mind, I’m sure)
The dogs are always great over there, except, my mom was giving Torrey a little bit of turkey as she stripped some meat off the bones over the trash can. When she was done, Torrey decided that the turkey neck right there under her nose, should be hers. She gingerly lifted it out of the garbage and turned to walk away. I saw the whole thing and stopped her in her tracks. I think she was pretty bummed out.
The day before, and the day after Thanksgiving, my oldest son came and walked with me and the dogs up our favorite local canyon. Al was putting the finishing touches on the tables and chairs, and it was nice to have a walking partner. Although, he realized his mom can kick his butt at walking. LOL.
Roxy loves Dustin, He was 15 when I brought her home almost 10 years ago.
He loves to carry her in is arms, and she has always felt safe in his big hands.
It was wonderful to spend time with my family before we head for Arizona.
Tomorrow we are going to deliver the furniture to Wyoming. We will spend the night at the clients ranch and I am looking forward to some great photo op’s. I will have pictures tomorrow of the finished project. (It’s beautiful)
Of course Torrey loved walking, and chasing turkeys. She can smell them a mile away I swear.
What is this face saying??
Relaxing in a bed of leaves.
Such a beauty.
We have been so lucky to have nice weather this past week. We will be heading for Arizona later in the week. Yeah!!
Glad you had a lovely thanksgiving and day with your son. LOL bet Torrey was mighty unhappy at being thwarted over the bin raid. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
“Oh yes, they’re out there!” Torrey looks very pleased with what she’s smelling :-)
Sounds like an excellent way to spend a long weekend.
We know you are looking forward to the warm weather! Poor Torrey. We hate it when we are real sneaky and then get caught. I got caught stealing a piece of turkey off the island on Thanksgiving. Mom had to wrestle with me to get it back. Rats! Can’t wait to see the finished table, what you showed before was so beautiful!
Glad you had a great Thanksgiving – Love the look of adoration on Roxy’s face there with your son…
