Finding that treat
Finding that treat
The photo prompt this week from The Daily Post is Treat.
The biggest treat for me the last few days was having Al home over the weekend. We are so use to spending all our time together, that being apart all day during the week, has made us miss each other. But of course it poured rain all weekend, so doing anything was pretty much not going to happen. We did get a rain break for about an hour on Sunday, so we hustled down to the beach were I had found all the Sea glass. I wanted to take Al there, and I was pretty sure all these storms had kicked up even more glass.
We had a tiny bit of sun, just enough to make a rainbow. Apparently there is gold in the bottom of the bay right there.
The dogs were soooooo happy to be out of the RV. Thankfully they can run off leash at this beach.
And I was right, the wind and storms really kicked up a bunch of glass. This piece looks like it was part of an old crock. I have never seen anything with tiny blue dots though. Very cool.
We came home with quite a bit of glass. I put the colorful pieces of glass in an old jar. Now I can look at them on my counter.
Torrey is a treat everyday.
seems you really found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in your Al and in Torrey and Roxy :o) and in that small treasures the sea placed for you on the beach :o)
Yes, All that!!
Each photo is a TREAT! The rainbow, the beach, TORREY in all her glory….wow Mary, the life you lead.
GLORIOUS!
Wonderful images, the rainbow is always a treat to my eyes. I love your cute pup! And the sea glass is pretty! Enjoy your day!
Beachcomber heaven, that place. You’re finding some great stuff!
There is one place where all this glass is. I think there must have been a dump in the bay near there.
I would so love to walk that beach and look for treasure every day!
It is rather addictive.
Rainbow, wow! What a capture! Love your colorful pieces of glass in an old jar. :)
I’m sure they loved running on the beach! How fun!
Well I’ve seen lots of rainbows but never the rainbow’s end! By all means, get yourself a diving outfit and an underwater camera and see if that pot of gold exists! ;) Very interesting finds, especially that ceramic with the blue dots. At first I thought those were holes and it was part of an old fruit/veg colander, but now I’m curious…again.
I have never seen old crockware with this pattern maybe it’s a west coast thing.
What gorgeous sea glass! Looks like a great treat for all involved (of the two and four legged variety!).
A very nice treat indeed
That is a lot of sea glass – nice! Torrey has that wind blown look down to an art, doesn’t she? :)
She does have it down. LOL
Your photos are a treat for my heart and Torrey is just too dang cute!
Love Torrey and the glass! Love Dolly
All great journeys, great stories, and real treasures begin at the end of that rainbow.
