Flowers gone wild
Flowers gone wild
I thought for a Monday morning, we could just enjoy some beautiful flowers.
The glacier lilies up the canyon here have gone crazy this year. There are always small patches here and there, but this year they are everywhere. It seems like every time I walk the dogs up the canyon, there are more and more. And in places, and quantity like I have never seen before.
It’s like the super bloom of Glacier lilies.
And they smell so sweet!
Like tiny dancers in the sun.
The are so fleeting though. Thankfully, I have the chance to save them in photographs.
Have a wonderful, beautiful Monday. And don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers along the way.
flowers are a wonderful start into a new week, I so agree…
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us Mary. I have never seen that particular lily before!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the thrill of spring, the thrill of your photography, Mary! That last one especially, it’s like a water colour!!!
As soon as we get some flowers we will stop and sniff them. Spring is finally starting up, so flowers will follow soon. Beautiful yellow lilies.
What a wonderful start to the week!

Nothing prettier than a field of wildflowers!
That’s a perfect way to start out the week!! (even if you don’t see it until Tuesday like me :)
They are beautiful! Do you have any idea why they are called Glacier lilies? Do they grow in the silt and dirt left from glaciers?
