I like to walk in new and different places. I mentioned yesterday we spent the night last week at Independence Rock in Wyoming. We have been here before, but it’s always so interesting. This was a big marker for the people traveling the Oregon trail in the mid to late 1800’s. Names are etched in the rock all over. The evening we were there, we decided to walk around and stretch everyone’s legs.
The prompt for this weeks 2 Lil Owls is On a walk, so perfect. Al is checking out a few of the names.
There were storm clouds swirling all around. Made for amazing skies, and a cool sunset.
This is the photo I decided to use for the prompt. Al felt the need to wrap the leash around Roxy’s tail as we walked. She didn’t even notice. Lol.
The Dogwood 52 this week is a composition one, Rule of odds. Meaning, odd numbers in an image is more pleasing than say 2, or 4. This is true in any art actually.
These three horses were the perfect grouping of three things.
Thinking about composition as your shooting, will help make your images better overall. Something to practice this week.
Hello, wonderful images. I love your cute dogs and the horses. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
Composition is always important, but sometimes it is hard to get it right, or not possible.
Beautiful horse image, Mary!
I love all the photos – cool sunset! – especially the three horses. Is that a family or just random horses in a group?
I didn’t know about the rule of odds… but it seems true to me. I love your trio of horses… and that cool rock!
