From Clicking to Creating-Something New, Something Blue
The Dogwood challenge this week is Alphabet. Either find objects, or create something that makes a word. This was a new idea for me, and this image came to me as I would walk through the woods where we had been camping. There was such a variety of natural plants, that I knew I could make a word easily. Of course that word needed to coincide with what I was using, so Nature it is.
The feathers are from my feather collection. Whenever I find a beautiful feather, I have to pick it up. I’ve been doing this for years, and so I have a nice little variety. I placed my gray board under a tree, so I could use the natural filtered light. Once I got the letters created, I moved the board around until I was happy with the lighting.
I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.
The color blue. That’s the prompt from 2 Lil Owls this week.
Since I had my feathers out for the previous image, I thought I would get more blue ones together for this photo. I love my blue jay feathers. I only have a few that I picked up in a friends yard in Colorado several years ago. The small blue one, is from a mountain bluebird.
Blue water in the thermal area of Yellowstone. Yes, it really is that blue.
Have you ever created an alphabet image? If yes, what did you do?
We have been in Bozeman, MT. for the Sweet Pea show this past weekend, which was good, then zipped to Jackson yesterday to get ready for our show this weekend. Busy, busy, to say the least. But it’s a good busy.
What pretty feathers. We’ve never thought of making a word that way, but boy does it look nice!
Hello, your word is a pretty creation. Love the blue feathers. Gorgeous Yellowstone scenes Good luck with your shows.. Enjoy your day!
Feathers made the perfect lettered sign. It came out great!
Good luck with your shows!
I have never done that — but it seems like a delightful idea. I love your interpretation of NATURE and the blue feathers — and wow, that water is blue!
Enjoy your show this weekend. Glad the Sweet Pea went well.
