Happy Birthday Torrey

My goofy, sweet, wonderful Torrey turns 6 years old today. It hardly seems possible.

Torrey is so easy going, so gentle, and makes me laugh everyday. If I get on the floor to do yoga, this is usually the view I have.

She is the smiling-est dog. And what an infections grin that is.

She lets me do stupid stuff to her, she may give me a crusty look or two.

But often she just smiles and plays along.

Her favorite things….going for walks, playing frisbee, getting her feet wet in the river, and doing tricks for cheerios.

She is a great sister to Roxy. Roxy doesn’t like to play with her much, but when she does instigate play with Torrey, she is so gentle with her. At night, if Roxy wakes up and whines to either go outside, or get in bed with me, if I don’t hear her, Torrey will start pawing the side of the bed to wake me up. This is especially useful when we are in Utah because I have to sleep with earplugs. She watches out for Roxy, and always gets a bit worried if I leave Roxy home with Al and go walking with Torrey.

She is the family protector, that’s her job and she is great at it. She only barks if she really needs to, so we know to listen to her if she does.

She is a quirky creature of habit, views the RV has her giant dog house, and remembers when we pull into a place a year later.

My super model, my friend, and a big part of our family.
