On Tuesday we went for a fantastic hike. We went into the Gros Ventre wilderness area about an hour from the campground and hiked the Crystal Creek trail. Since we are dogs, we can’t hike in either of the National parks around here…BOOOO. But we found this great hike instead. Actually, it was much better because there are no people. Mom and dad hiked 8 miles, I hiked about 5, and Torrey hiked 12. Torrey and I were both wiped out when we got back. We crossed the river twice on the hike, and the water was COLD. The water was kinda fast on one of the crossings, and Torrey really had to swim hard to not get swept away. She did awesome though, and mom was really watching her. Anyway, the hike was beautiful and it wasn’t hard to tell why it was called Crystal Creek. We stopped for lunch, and dad had a small rest in the grass. Torrey and I made sure he was protected. Then we kept going. “Come on you guys, let’s go.”Four miles down the trail we came to great spot with a big waterfall, and some small waterfalls and pools. We had a great time playing in the pools of water, it was so refreshing and cool. And we saw this great butterfly friend too. It was a great hike and a great day.
