I Finally Created a Photo Book, and I Love It

I’ve had so many people tell me I should do a book. I’ve looked into it, thought about it, but never actually did anything. Then, I was offered a discount through Saal Digital and decided this was as good a time as any to make the book I’ve wanted to.

My original book was strictly wild horse images, but Al said maybe a book with my new art would be a better idea, so that’s what I did instead. Someone asked me once what I would call my new art, something to tie it all together. I thought about this for days, then came up with “Off the Wall” Almost all the new imagery has an old wallpaper overlay, and I wanted to reflect that idea. So, the book is titled “Off the Wall.”

The book arrived, and I absolutely love it! Talk about quality.

The pages are thick, the color quality is amazing, and it’s a lay flat design. Which I think is very important with a photo book.

I did a total of 30 pages, not including the front and back cover. One thing I really like is the book starts on the inside cover, and there aren’t any blank pages. The book I made is 11″ x 11″, but there are other options too.

This is a screen shot of the SAAL software where the book is created. So easy to use, and I like the flexibility of it too.

Oddly for me the hardest part was writing something to go with each photo. In the end, I decided most of the photos can just speak for themselves.

The book was actually made in Germany, but they shipped it via DHL, and I had it so fast.

I was able to save the book after it was done in a PDF format, which I could email to someone if they were interested in purchasing one.

I did some price comparisons with other companies that do photo books, and everything I found was way more expensive, and I would guess not anywhere near the quality I got from SAAL.

So in short, I’m thrilled I finally created my book, and I’m really glad I had these guys do it. The fun part is I can now sell the book to anyone who may want one too.
