I Love Me Some Wyoming
I Love Me Some Wyoming
Holy cow, it’s good to be home. We got to our favorite Wyoming place on Monday, after the art show. Neither art show was good, so it has been especially nice to at least be in a place we love. I have been a photography maniac, and that has been so nice.
Monday night was perfect for a sunset. The clouds were very awesome, and colorful.
I even tried my hand at a panorama. Stitched together three images for this one.
This raven posed so well for me. The problem was shooting into the sun, but I played around with these images and got something I like.
Tuesday morning, it was for the moose.
This is Custer, he was browsing on the willows, and gave me a funny face. Plus that funny brow tine, what a goof.
Tuesday evening I went for a wander, and thought this old fence was pretty interesting.
Wednesday morning there were no bull moose, but this cow and calf were nice to see. I can’t even believe how fast these calves grow.
It’s nice to be in such a photographic rich place. I love all the wildlife, and beautiful things here. We have our last art show this weekend, but after that, it’s all about the photography.
Love Custer!! Silly guy! Love the sunset panorama, too! It’s impossible to pick a favorite out of this group of photos – each one has its own special appeal.
Thanks so much. I don’t think I could pick a favorite either.
Custer’s antlers look like raised hands in a church expressing, GLORY HALLELUJAH! teeeeheeeee what a face.
I LOVE MOOSE. I love your photos. And, I am glad for you that you are in a place you love. What a wild ride you’ve had this summer, Mary! But a load of fantastic wildlife shots. Bravo.
Thanks Anita. It has been a wild ride, but the photo ops have been good.
Hello, these are all awesome. I especially love the moose. But, the sky shots are simply beautiful. Well done. Enjoy your day!
Sorry to hear the latest shows weren’t great :-/
The moose and raven on the other hand – how wonderful!
Thank you. Moose and ravens always make great photos.
It is unfortunate the last two shows weren’t great — hope this last one is!
I too love all your photos — but that silhouette of the raven with the beard is my favourite! He makes me smile, as does Custer!
Ya, hopefully this next show will make up for the last two. And custer is always fun to see.
I’m sorry to hear the shows didn’t go well for you, I hope the next one’s better. I’d never have known photographing that raven was difficult, the results are amazing, I love the effect. The moose pics are fabulous, it always makes me happy to see any animal mothers and their young together instead of torn apart like they so often are in captivity. Great photos.
Thanks. I felt the rescue of the raven photo turned out pretty good. And fingers crossed for this weeks show.
It must be Gros Ventre///LOVE!
Yep, our favorite place.
We have a friend with dogs in Wyoming, but not sure exactly where. She loves it there. Beautiful place!
It is beautiful, I love it here.
I love how you try to make something special even out of difficult shooting situations such as with the crow. All the photos here are beautiful.
Thanks Otto, your words mean a lot.
Yay for it being all about the photography – looking forward to more wonderful photos like these!
So gorgeous!
Great photos Mary…and glad you are “home” enjoying it if the shows were not what you anticipated…:)JP
