Magnificent Wild Stallion

This magnificent wild stallion just knows, he is all that and a bag of chips. He pranced around, leaped in the air, fought with another stallion or two, and generally was a complete joy to watch.

We went out the other morning looking for horses, and came across a nice group of bachelor stallions. Mornings are generally a good time to see some rambunctious behavior anyway, and a bachelor group is always ripe for action.

This strawberry roan was feeling like a million bucks, and was letting everyone know it.

After he mixed it up with this guy, he started in with another stallion. This one was more willing to put him in his place too.

They would fight, then they would chase. The roan was always in the front.

And wow, he gave us quite the show too.

I have so many photos of him off the ground.

And the form he had, he would put any show horse to shame.

A little more fighting.

Then another wild run around.

The other guy wasn’t too shabby either.

We also saw a couple of young boys. They aren’t too serious, more of a training session for them.

Always fun to watch them.

And, I have been so busy out taking photos that I haven’t had time to create anything new. (I know, sad story right) This young foal was so much fun to watch. He was pretty relaxed and I got several fun shots of him laying in the grass in various, and assorted positions. I’m sure I will make more fun images of him, but here is “Sweet Dreams”
