I think that everyone who blogs would agree, that meeting a “blog friend” for real is always a treat. One advantage of traveling around is that I sometimes find myself in a town where someone lives, and we get to meet. Such was the case yesterday.
Emily, from Adventures of a dog mom. lives just up the road from Loveland where we have been this week. We arranged to meet at a local park so we could bring the dogs.
This is Boomer with Torrey. They were fixated on Emily’s hubby because he had the treat bag. Boomer is a character! When we first met them he was talking, and friendly. Such a sweet guy.
Dottie was a bit unsure at first, but then settled right down. Roxy immediately tried to put both big dogs in their places with barking and snarling. They didn’t know what to think of her.
Dottie was more interested in stalking the squirrels. She seemed a little bummed out she was on the leash, but that was better for the small critters, believe me. LOL She would do the sneak toward a squirrel, and they would just sit there and watch her. I suppose they knew they were safe. Pretty brave squirrels if you ask me.
Everyone chilled out and Emily and I, along with her hubby were able to have a very nice visit. I remembered what Flea, from Jones Natural chews said at Blogpaws. She mentioned that her husband calls all her “blog buddies” her invisible friends. But when we get to meet in person, they aren’t invisible friends anymore.
Have you ever had the chance to meet a blog friend?
And, here is day 32 in the 100 Days Project.
That was a fun treat! We have mostly only met blog friends at BlogPaws, but that is super fun, like meeting you guys. Usually everyone is an invisible friend but it is fun to see our friends are real.
It was fun meeting you guys at Blogpaws, I love getting the chance to meet all the “invisible” friends.
What fun!!! Torrey looked like she, at least, took it all in stride.I think she had a great time! Of course I have met bloggers in person, I met YOU! :) Seriously, I have met a few here in Michigan too, it is always fun to meet other bloggers!
Torrey was super re;axed, Unless there was a squirrel. LOL
I’m glad we got to meet up for a bit yesterday. The dogs came home and slept the rest of the day away, I know they had fun. And, you’re right I’m not sure they knew what to make of Roxy and her little bark!
These guys wee tired too. It was good for them to have a little fun.
That is one great meet and greet. Nice one. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
that’s awesome. i’ve had the pleasure of meeting 2 so far. :)
We’ve only met our invisible friend at BlogPaws…
Love the picture of your sky hole through the trees! I love Boomer and Dottie! They look very friendly and calm. This is truley a treat to meet your blog dog friends.
I love meeting my electronic friends in real life – I do it whenever I can! In fact, we may be heading for Jackson so we can meet up with you and Al again later this summer.
COME TO TULSA! COME TO TULSA!!!
I never met one of the bloggers. Think I would be surprised that they really exist when I would meet one once :o)
Meeting blog friends is always fun… If you’re ever in Oregon, come visit! There’s an art fair somewhere just about every weekend.
Very cool! I haven’t met one of my invisible friends, I must admit. I’ve also got a ton of friends from the online support groups when Abby had cancer – never met any of them either, although one of them is a good friend and we email back and forth all the time now. Funny how you can become good friends with folks you’ve never met these days!
You tell ’em Roxy! Love how she isn’t intimidated by the bigger dogs. And YES we get to meet blog pals all the time, they know more about what’s going on with us then mom’s “real” friends. We are seeing Sugar and Rocco this weekend stay tuned! Love Dolly
This has been on my list of things to do, my blogging family has grown significantly over the past twelve months, so I’m looking forward to connecting with bloggers in the future when I have Harley with me. I met a few at BP 2013 but I wasn’t able to attend 2014. Hopefully both Harley and I will attend 2015 where I can finally give hugs to those incredible writers who are behind the camera and on the keyboards. People just like you!
I know Kilo would love to have a play date! Once he is better socialized I hope to do the same.
That looks like so much fun!! We love meeting our internet friends! :D
I haven’t met a blogging buddy yet, but I have a whole list of them that I would love to meet.
So neat you got to meet them!
Nola
It is great to meet blog friends in person! We have met a couple and have remained pretty close with them out in the “real world”. I am so glad all the dogs got along and that you had a wonderful day!
How lovely to get to meet blogger friends! When are you coming to Curaçao? ;) Yes, please do bring the dogs!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Have a lovely day!
What fun!!!! I don’t know about “Adventures of a Dog Mom”. I’m going to check it out. I hope that all of your visit was fun!
Fun meet up! I’ve met flea before, but she is the only dog blogger I’ve had a chance to meet so far.
We dodn’t have doggy friends for Donna when we first adopted her, so definitely love to meet up and change invisible friends to real friends! XD
I have not gotten to meet a blog friend yet. My hubby also says they are not real….LOL. I need to meet one soon so that I can prove that they are! Too bad you never travel to the Northeast. :)
