Mutual Admiration Society
The photo challenge from The Daily Post this week was great timing for me. Admiration, show something or someone you admire.
Well I admire the hubby, and I admire the beautiful work he creates. This past weekend while we were in Sioux Falls, it was wonderful to hear other people saying they admire his work too. And it’s very exciting to have these pieces installed for a year in the Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk. They look great, and are in a nice spot in downtown.
Al’s pieces were scheduled at 7am for installation. This is quite the organized event, and I will have a bit more about it tomorrow.
It was a very windy, chilly morning. But thankfully the rain held off.
I admire the hard work, heart and soul that Al puts into every sculpture he creates. I’m sure in the coming year, many people will admire his work here.
The Dogwood 52 week challenge is Texture. When we stopped at the old house I showed in yesterdays post, this old sunflower was outside. This was perfect for texture, especially with the texture of the building in the background. I added a texture overlay to the photo too.
You both are just remarkable. That sunflower is GORGEOUS and Al, what an artist. Enjoy every moment dear Mary!
Congrats to your Al. The sculptures are beautiful. I love your texture shot. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
The sculptures are amazing! How cool that they’ll be on display for a year!
Beautiful work to be very proud of, Mary!…:)JP
Congratulations to Al! That is quite an honor to have one, let alone two sculptures on display. He has a wonderful talent.
Al’s pieces look fabulous there! I’m sure they’ll be admired by thousands over the coming year. If I was in charge, I’d talk the city into buying them for permanent display. And as for admiration, I admire both of you for following your dreams and living the life you love – something most of us don’t get a chance to do.
the sculptures are amazing! Very talented!!
I don’t know how Al is able to leave that work for a year not knowing what will happen to it! But hundreds will get to see and admire it so it has to be worth it!
