Hi, I am Roxy, the traveling dog. I get to travel with my mom and dad all over. We camp and hike all over Utah. We also go to Wyoming. This year we are going to go to Montana. We travel to art shows, and mountain man rendezvous. We do alot of camping, just because we like to. I love to hike. You wouldn’t think I could hike far, but my little legs can go a long way.
I was born on christmas day in 2004. My traveling really started in 2007 though. My Mom met a great guy, who is an artist and also likes to travel. I got to go to my first big show in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2007. We went to the Western Design Conference. I had to stay in doggie day care during the day. But it was OK. One evening I went to the Design Conference. I was dressed up in my leather outfit. Everyone thought I was so cute. We went again in 2008. My dad makes great custom handcarved furniture. That’s why we were there. In 2009 we went to the Cody High Style show. That was a fun doggie day care too. Such a long drive though.
I went to my first mountain man rendezvous in the spring of 2007. I have met some great people at rendezvous. I have friends from all over that I get to see when we go. I hate the guns though. But I get to go and help my mom and dad when they shoot archery and throw their hawk and knives. I know we are at rendezvous, when I look out the window of the truck and see all the canvas tents. I get so excited when I put my rendezvous clothes on, I know we are going to see all my favorite people. And my dog friends too.
Hiking and camping in the desert is really one of my favorite things to do. We have been some beautiful places. Just look at my pictures.
In Oct. we went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. My dad delivered some sculptures to the Turpin Gallery, and my mom set up The Hide Out to sell her purses. We hiked by the Tetons, that was pretty!! I saw all kinds of wild animals on that trip.
