Pretty Skies, and Cute Wildlife

When we visit the horses, it’s not always just them I get to photograph. Sometimes its also pretty skies, and cute wildlife.

One afternoon we were in the RV, and I looked out to see very young, twin pronghorn antelope running all over everywhere. One of them in particular was racing through the grass, and clearly having a great time. It was one of the cutest, funniest things I’ve seen wildlife do. There was a shallow ditch, and he ran through it, up and over it, and all along the side. Mom pretty much just had to watch.

The other baby enjoyed running too, and pretty soon they were all three going.

I love how they were in sync.

Antelope are like deer, in that they will stash the babies in the weeds for long periods of time, while mom goes off to eat or whatever. These two looked like they had been let out of “hiding jail” and needed to run off some energy. I watched them for quite a while, then suddenly the babies disappeared back into the grass.

That same evening we had another beautiful, golden sunset. I just love the dramatic sky.

This was looking east towards our RV. The rainbow lasted lounger than any I’ve seen.

These two images are from the sunset I shared with you before. It was just such a beautiful evening.

In a sea of gold.

This is not a very good video, it’s really hard for me to video with my camera because I can’t see the LCD screen. A couple videos are blurry because everything is blurry. Lol. Anyway, it shows the herd pretty good to give you an idea what it’s like.

I love the wide open space, and the beauty that is there.
