Reflecting
Reflecting
The photo prompt this week from The Daily Post is mirror.
I have been lucky this past couple of weeks to get some great reflecting shots. You guys saw a few last week with the young moose. I’ve always liked reflecting shots, there is just something different, and magical about them.
This little guy may have been looking at his reflection.
I love the angle of this shot. The trees are so tall in this spot, and the moose is perfect.
A bull moose reflected in the river. Twice as handsome.
And reflecting on what’s been going on with me, and my photography lately. I entered the Photographer Forums Magazine annual contest again this year. Again, I had a photo chosen as one of the finalists. They get over 11,000 entries and choose the top 10% as finalists, then whittle it down from there to the top 100. So just being in that top 10% is kinda cool.
This photo was chosen this year.
I also entered the yearly photo contest for the Grand Teton Association. I had two photos chosen for the top 5.
This was third place.
And this was 5th place.
A couple of months ago the PBS station in Nevada contacted me about using some of my bighorn sheep photos, I love PBS so of course I said yes. They included the photo in a show they did on bighorn sheep.
Maybe, I will be a full grown professional photographer someday.
Wow Mary I consider you already a full blown professional now! That Is Fantastic you were asked to include your photos as such! Big time!!!!!
what a beautiful place our planet can be… I now sing Michael Jackson man in the mirror with moose in the mirror… seems the heat outside found a victim LOL
Lol…I would love to hear you singing that.
Well done on the photo success!
Congratulations on all your photography success. You really deserve it! Love the reflections of the moose. Usually one just sees trees and plants.
A little moose added into the trees, makes the photo a bit better. And thanks.
Wow Mary BIG TIME congratulations on all your photo successes!! That’s huge when a major media source contacts you about using your stuff. Next thing you know you’ll be their roving wilderness reporter! ;) These pics are gorgeous.
Ha…doubtful. But thanks though.
I think you are already a professional photographer! I have pinned so many of your photos it is unreal! (Hoping some of these people who see them purchase from you) I also hope that PBS PAID YOU!!!
I truly do appreciate you pinning images from here, all exposure, is good exposure. And PBS, they are non-profit so no money. But I grew up on PBS and have always loved it.
Congratulations!
Beautiful reflections, and nice job on those contests! You most certainly are a professional photographer!
Mary, great photos…all of them!…:)JP
Ditto what Emma said!!! Congrats! In my eyes you’re already a professional photographer!
Such a wonderful series; I love the fifth one that really captures the promise of the day.
Congrats on those nominations/accomplishments! You absolutely deserve it! The first reflection is so perfect, I could hardly tell it was a reflection and not the real thing!
Amazing shots, Mary.
Wowie! Congratulations, Mary. Your work certainly deserves it.
I’d say you are well on your way to being a professional – congratulations on your success!
