The finishing touches are being done on several projects right now. We’ve got two tables and a couple of art pedestals about ready to go. Everything is going to the Turpin Gallery in Jackson Hole next week. I love Jackson Hole, it’s such a dog friendly town. I’m excited to go and see my friends there. Especially my buddy Grizz at the Hide out leather store. He’s cool, and he’s a shop dog too. Well, a store dog but that’s the same thing.
The walnut table is very pretty. Solid top with a light sap wood grain along the edge. It’s kinda hard to see in these pictures. Then dad carved the detail on the front of it, it goes along with the nice lines of the whole piece. The cherry and juniper table doesn’t have a finish yet, so these pictures are hard to get the detail. The top looks like a stream, with some animal tracks going along the edge of the water. We’ve done tables with the animal tracks before, and people really like them. These tracks are coyote, squirrel, and there are some bunny ones on there too. I will get a better picture once there is a finish on this, that will make the detail stand out more. The moccasins in the shadow box are going too. Mom has sold several pieces, similar to this, at the gallery. The shadow box really helps the bead work stand out. And it can be hung on the wall. The strike a light bag isn’t really going to go with “Storyteller”, mom just wanted to see what it would look like. More pictures next week when everything is completely finished, and we can get better lighting.
