Spring Brings Baby Wild Horses

Spring brings baby wild horses, baby birds, baby everything. And what’s not to love about that!

We have been hither and yon in Arizona since the last time I blogged. Sorry…I really haven’t forgotten about you guys, but life has been busy and blogging has obviously taken a back seat. I am active on Facebook, and Instagram though, Just sayin’.

Anyway….we did our last art show of the winter season last weekend in Wickenburg. The shows were mostly Ok, considering Arizona is a tough art show market because there are so many shows. Everyone LOVED the new work I am doing, and all year I have heard “How unique” “So different” ” I absolutely love it” which is exactly what I wanted to hear. To create something that is different, and everyone loves in today’s art world is an accomplishment for sure. So, since there is snow and cold in Utah still, we decided to come back to the Salt River to wait out the weather. Of course I was all over this idea, especially since I knew there were some new foals.

This little colt is about a week old.

And just as cute as can be.

A local photographer that we have become friends with, thinks this little one is about a week too.

And then there was this. We went out early in the morning and this tiny baby was only a few hours old. Wobbly legs, a little unsure, very protective mama.

Such a little miracle.

There was also a lot of laying around in the sun. The weather has been wet and chilly, so the clear warm day probably felt glorious to them.

Tomorrow will have to be a bird post, because I have some catching up to do there, plus what I’ve already seen here. There is definitely more bird activity in the area, and everyone is nesting and getting ready.

I’m just thrilled to be back in wildlife country again, even for a short time.
