It’s possible you guys are going to get tired of my sunrise and sunset photos. But when we finally get to the desert, and the skies are magical, it’s hard to not take photos. These photos are from this past Sunday.
And yes, these colors are real.
We are always awake by 6:30 or 7:00 ish and the first thing I do is check the sky. The clouds have to be just right. Too many, and it’s too dark. No clouds means no color. So when I see promising clouds, I get my camera ready to start shooting.
It generally starts out like this….
And ends up like this.
I love to stand in the morning silence and watch the sky evolve.
Different views, give a whole different look. This is towards the North.
And this is squeezing in more sky.
Sunday evening was spectacular too. This sunset was so full of colors. It’s a good thing film is cheap, because I take so many photos of the sky. Every 5 minutes the colors are different.
I love being here for so many reasons. But the colors in the sky, is one of the main reasons.
I am joining Our World Tuesday today
The colours are stunning. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
I will NEVER tire of looking at your sunsets Mary! That’s the reason I bought one!! LOVE them!! I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed the sunsets when we were out west…absolutely spectacular! I miss them.
~ SIGH ~
Mary, I wake up at 4:30am at the latest, and to come to your blog first thing to see your sky views is a must before I can see mine here in Minneapolis. My studio faces the east, and on the weekends (I leave too early during the week for work), the pink skies just stop me in my tracks. These are spectacular views and though trees are a big favorite of mine in any landscape, NO TREES here is vital to see the show. Thank you for this! Anita
Its hard to get tired of looking at beauty :-)
Nature is amazing! I almost looks like lava flow in the sky.
i don’t mind one bit. :)
I never get tired of those skies. It’s a rare day we see anything like that here on the east coast, so I must live through you ;-)
Could not possibly get tired of that much beauty!!! There’s something so peaceful about those pics. Keep ’em coming!

I never get tired of your beautiful photographs! I especially love beautiful skies too. We get the sunsets at our house, but the sunrise is blocked by trees, so I miss seeing that.
It’s cloudy these days over here, without your colours. Enjoy your fabulous view :)
