Arizona sunsets and other great stuff
It’s not all hummingbirds here in the desert, we have been doing other stuff too. I am of course obsessed with Arizona sunsets.
We have had some really nice skies, and golden light lately.

I suppose I am easily amused, but I’ve been having so much fun with the hummingbirds. Someday’s it really feels like, Photographer vs Hummingbird or Catch me if you can. The Anna’s hummers have taken over the feeders. I haven’t seen the smaller Costa’s now for a week, and I’m so glad I got photos of them.
The Ann’s hummers are bolder though, and tend to hang around longer. So my project is to get them in mid flight, not an easy thing to do.
These images I took at sunset, are some of my favorites. The backlighting really makes the image.
Funny how things work out. When I posted photos of the wild burros a little while ago, someone asked me if we had been to Oatman. We hadn’t, so I did a google search and decided we needed to go.
We left Quartzsite on Monday, to start working our way back north. It was getting hot, and Al is still having weird stuff going on. So we decided it was time to go. We spent Monday in Mohave Valley at an RV park, so we could drive up to Oatman.
Oatman is an old gold mining town, that is now just a small tourist place. The fun part is the burro’s that roam around town. They are essentially wild, but are so use to people that they are very tame.
Such a funny face.
