The furniture is finally done

If you’ve been following along on the blog lately, you know that Al has been working his tail off to get these tables and chairs done so we can head south for the winter. 
Well, they are done! 4 tables, and 16 chairs. What started out as a huge pile of parts, has now been carved, sanded, stained and put together.

The reason we haven’t left for Arizona yet

Both of us would really like to be in Arizona right now. It’s cold, like 15 degrees at night cold. We had frozen water pipes for 3 days, extreme cold and RV life do not mix. Thankfully we are parked in the mother in laws driveway, and can get water and showers in her house. It’s warmed up a bit after the snow we got but it’s going to get extreme again next weekend. So why on earth are we still in Utah? 
This is why. Al got a call in September from a client in Wyoming that he has done a lot of work for. He wanted four bar height tables, and 16 chairs. Carved aspen trees all around the tables, and carved animal tracks in each table top. These photos are of the wood completely unfinished. When they are done, they will be a nice dark finish that will show off all the carving.
