Celebrating Wild Horses in Art for #worldartday

Tales from the Backroad Posted on April 15, 2018 by Mary HoneApril 15, 2018

Celebrating Wild Horses in Art for #worldartday

I found out this morning that today, April 15th, is World Art Day. So I thought I better get my artistic self together, and write a post Celebrating Wild Horses in Art for #worldartday.

The horses all by themselves are artistic. Flowing manes, lots of movement, plenty of chances for good artistic photography. I do like to push the artistic end of my photos sometimes, and create something unique.

A horse is poetry in motion.

Catching up with old wild horse friends

Catching up with old wild horse friends

One thing that is particularly nice about visiting the same wild horse herd, is catching up with old wild horse friends. It’s so fun to see them grow, develop their personality, and even start their own family.

This little filly was one of the first wild horses I photographed, and really fell in love with. I have always called her Princess, because her coloring is so beautiful. Especially now that she is an adult. This is the first image I took of her in June 2016.

2nd Annual Wild Horse Camping Trip with the Nieces

Well, another wild horse camping trip with the nieces is done, and a good time was had by all. The weather was a little iffy at times, but we saw lots of horses and had a great time.
(These first few photos are cell phone shots, so not so great)

We hiked to the top of the hill behind the RV, and picked up cool rocks.
