Take me to the river
Take me to the river, Drop me in the water
Are you singing it? Did I give you an ear worm for the day?
I have talked more than once on the blog about how I love being near the river. This time of year, it’s especially magical. I can sit beside the water and time just evaporates. The magic that is fall is in the air. Crisp, cool days. Cold nights.
Yesterday I sat by the river, soaked my feet, and just took some random photos. It was the middle of the day, the sun was high, so the photos are totally different. Maybe good, maybe not. I was hoping to capture the feel of the river.
About a dozen mergansers paddled by me on the opposite bank. They were pretty fun to watch. They swim along, then look under the water. If they see a fish, they dive and get it.
This guy likes the river too.
And I believe this is true, agree?
Beautiful scenery and wonderful images of the river. I love the Merganser, moose and your cute pup! Have a happy day!
Thanks so much. You have a great day too.
TAKE ME TO THE RIVER, NOW! This first week back to school is WILD!
Oh UGH. I’m glad I can take you away for a minute before your day starts.
that’s a wonderful place… it looks as if are diamonds in the water and when I close my eyes I can even feel the cold and fresh water… this photo is an artpiece, well done!!!
Thanks so much, I’m glad I brought the river to you today.
I love this time of year and being by the river too.
Great photos!
Fall is the best!!
We definitely need more river time. The pictures are beautiful – I could hear the river and feel the coolness. You gave me a quiet moment to breathe.
Then my job here is done. LOL I’m glad you enjoyed the river with me.
I can feel your light-heartedness and joy sitting by the river in every word and photo you’ve posted! Fabulous. Thank you!
Thank you. It’s always nice to know I really did convey what I wanted to.
“washing me down”….love that song :) Yes now I will have it in my head lol
So lovely!
The water is so inviting, so clean and clear and I bet it is nice and cool as well. Would love to be there too.
I think you captured it beautifully. That is how I feel about the ocean. I could sit and watch it and just lose all sense of everything except the tranquility and beauty of it.
I had a different earworm earlier from another blog…glad to be able to switch it now! :)
There is just something so soothing about moving water…there is no better place to relax than next to it. In fact, I think it’s the only place I really can relax!
Great post, I especially appreciate your love of water that I share with you.
I think the photos are wonderful. I love the glinty reflections in the water… and the ducks… and the big moose!
Thank you for taking me to the river! So beautiful, Mary!
