Being super close to the river, is one of the reasons I love staying here. Walk out the door, down the small trail, and there we are. The dogs know the way, of course.
We go to the river most everyday for some afternoon fun. Roxy and Torrey both love the river, nothing like a refreshing dip.
Torrey is not the jump in the water and have a blast kind of a dog, so I try to coax her to swim when ever I can. She is getting better.
Roxy was trying to catch minnows in this little pool. Cracked me up!
She was not successful however.
I took my chair so I could do some reading beside the river one day. Roxy always has to share my chair with me, while Torrey just wishes she could.
I love the clarity, and the beautiful sound of the river.
This photo is perfect for today’s 100 Days Project.
Tomorrow we leave here and start heading towards Loveland, Colorado. We have a week and a half to get there, so we are going to meander across Wyoming and stop at some historical sites. Should be a fun adventure.
That water looks so cool and clear, even Mom wants to take a drink of it! Great place for fun.
Lucky pups. An afternoon by the river is something we’d love to do. Trying to catch Minnows sounds like great fun. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Now our person is missing the river she used to live by – we’re a water family (except the terrier.)
it would be difficult to leave that spot!
water water everywhere! refreshing, and flowing.
What a wonderful place to while away some time, even better with a book!
One of my Poodles would splash in the water for hours. The other one would pretend the river wasn’t even there.
I love being by a river, great pics!
There is nothing I love more than being by water, ANY type. That river IS beautiful…so clear. Makes me want to take my shoes off and jump in! Enjoy!
And that is exactly what we do. I love water too, so relaxing.
Great picture for your 100 day challenge, and I agree that a day by the river is never wasted.
What a beautiful area to spend time. I envy you. I told my husband that we need to sell our home and buy a travel trailer like you. One question that hit me yesterday…how do you get mail?
Mail is never really an issue. Most small towns will accept general delivery packages or mail. I have found a couple that won’t though, so it’s always good to check. I do everything online anyway as far as the bills a are concerned. So really, mail is not a big deal. And, I never get junk mail.
Oh Roxy. Did she catch any?
No but she sure tried hard.
That looks heavenly xx
When I kayak, the sound of the water is so magical…I can imagine you feel the same way about sitting near a river…:)JP
I love the way you get to pick your own backyard. And yes, there’s nothing better than sitting by the water with the ones you love.
I would definitely enjoy a book by the river, it would melt the cares of the world away. Nice pix, I really enjoy the outdoors !
OMD – I want to go to there RIGHT NOW. (After a stressful weekend spending way too much time in the car!) Love the pics. Roxy looks so cute. And Rita is like Torrey – I have to coax her in. She’ll only swim if I wade out deep enough.
It’s a great place and time spent with best friends is always a treasure :o)
It’s so nice to live in nature with the pets. They just love the outdoors. Glad Roxy and Torrey are having such fun outdoors. Enjoy Colorado. – Petnet(io)
OMD How cute! I love that photo of Roxy’s butt while she tries to catch minnows. :D
OMST!! Roxy’s little butt looking for minnows cracked me up!! Have a safe trip on your way to CO.
I could not agree more. We love walking along the banks or just sitting by the river and listening to the water go by. It is so relaxing. Enjoy!
That looks so wonderful. The dogs and I would all be in heaven there!
