Time, the great equalizer
Time, the great equalizer
The photo prompt from The Daily Post this week is Time. This was actually perfect timing because I got some great shots at Castle Dome related to time.
This first photo shows how things have changed over time. 100 hundred years ago this was considered high tech. A typewriter was better and faster than writing, but think how far we have come in such a short time.
And how about a store front like this? Times have really changed.
Think of the time this hat spent on a mans head. The places it went, they things it saw. It was no doubt the favorite hat for a very long time.
The Dogwood 52 challenge had an interesting prompt this week. Artistic with candy. I was kinda stumped here, but I had the idea of using licorice allsorts, and Torrey. I set up the shot and just starting shooting, and waiting. Then this happened. I had to use all three photos that were shot in a row because they tell the story.
She is the best dog model. And no, she didn’t get any licorice.
Great job, again!…:)JP
Torrey certainly is an awesome model!!! WOW! These pictures remind me so much of a little cabin we stopped at out in Belle Fouche, South Dakota…great job on the photos!
Excellent prompts with the artifacts, showing how time does slip away so quickly, remodeling our inventions that function in the same way, but just look different! But Torrey? Her charm is timeless.
I really like the three photos of Torrey and the candy!
my dad would love the licorice… even with some dog spit :o)
Torrey is adorable with the licorice! Typewriters are really something. Just thinking about white out and carbon paper seems so ancient. Crazy how times change!
The first picture is dramatic.
But a typewriter is not actually belonged to the past.
We are still using it.
Well we hope Torrey at least got a treat for the modeling! We love the old time pictures (probably because mom is so old). Love Dolly
Ah Torrey, I hope your mom rewarded you with something else instead of that candy!
Love the vintage photos, it’s amazing how far we have come in such a short amount of time.
