Twin Baby Moose in Grand Teton NP
Twin Baby Moose in Grand Teton NP
There is just nothing cuter than twin baby moose. They are nothing but long spindly legs, and cute fuzzy faces. This twin pair has been visible on and off this past week, and it’s been so fun to watch them.
The first time I saw them, they were in really thick willows, and tall grass, so photography was tough. But oh my the cuteness. The one little calf was nuzzling and loving on mom. It was super interesting to watch, because mom would lick the calf, and they would nibble on her lip.
They moved to a more visible area, and I was able to watch and photograph them on and off for most of a day.
I’m pretty sure one of them is a boy. First there was this.
And a little later he started running all over, splashing in the water, and finally got the other one to join in the fun.
Then back to mom for some more love.
That evening we went back and found them again. They were pretty active, and in and out of the shallow part of the river.
As you can imagine, I took several hundred photos that day.
I did take a morning and to get some good landscape shots. The mules ear flowers are so pretty right now.
Today we set up our art show, and the show goes over the weekend. Since we are now the show promoters, as well as participants, we have tons and tons to do.
So, enjoy your weekend, and I’ll see you all next week.
