Walk in Sync review
I know this isn’t very mischievousness, to do a review, but this could actually help you stay out of trouble. So, I’m going to let mom take over for Monday Mischief today with a Walk in Sync review.
When I walk Roxy and Torrey, I get quite the work out on one arm, the one handling Torrey’s leash. She has always been a puller, bad, when we walk. I have her trained to heel on the left side, but she still thinks she’s going to get there before the rest of us. So I decided to look on the internet for training tips, or something that could help. I found a website, Dog walk in Sync, that has a special harness and leash system that help train your dog to not pull when you are walking. We watched the video, and it all looked very promising. I contacted the company to see if they had very good success with Australian Shepherds, lot’s of energy, and too smart for their own good. Alecia, the owner and inventor of the system, said they had good results with all dogs, and Aussies were especially easy to train. She helped figure out what size Torrey needed, and sent a beautiful red harness and leash.
The harness and leash are very well made. One thing that I think is kind of nice on the leash, the end is adjustable, and has a buckle. The end is adjustable for you to be able to put your hand through it, but I can see the buckle being a great feature. If you had to tie your dog to something for some reason, it would be so easy to do. I know Jessica over at You did what with your Weiner, carries a couple of carabiners just for that reason. This would be a great alternative.
The leash attaches to the front of the harness. At first this was hard for Torrey to get the idea, but within no time she had the hang of it. We shot a short video of her with the old harness, and them with the new Walk in sync. This was the first time she had this harness on. She isn’t pulling with her old harness like she normally would. She was to busy trying to figure out what the heck we were doing. But as you can see in the video, the new Walk in sync really works good.
I’ve walked Torrey with the new harness a few times now. She does much better than before. She still tries to pull a little sometimes, but in all fairness to her, when I take them walking behind our house she doesn’t have a leash and she runs and runs. I think she wants to do that all the time. I actually can’t blame her.
All in all I would have to say the Walk in sync system works great. I don’t feel like I’m wrestling her when we walk, and it’s made our walks much more enjoyable.
If you have a dog that walks you, instead of walking with you, I would recommend checking out the website. There is a ton of info, and a video to help you learn what the Walk in Sync system is all about.
And now it’s time for the Monday Mischief blog hop. It’s all about the fun!!
Great review guys – Roxy, it was good of you to agree to let your Mum have some space on your blog today!! I noticed Roxy was making a Cameo appearance in the video though – Tee Hee
I’ve got a harness, which Mum always makes me wear and she thinks I walk way better with it on, she may well look at the one you reviewed when it’s time to replace it though….. :)
Have fun,
Your pal Snoopy :)
When I was young, my Mistress tried everything with me. One ‘special’ lead worked really well until we were at training one night and it was dark and the next thing my Mistress knew I’d chewed right through it and was no longer attached. I now suffer the ignominy of a half choke collar. My own fault, but there you go.
Great review! Fred and Gloria are both pullers, but Fred is the worst. I have tried lots of different collars for him. This Walk in sync harness sounds like a great idea. I’ll have to check it out!
Woof! Woof! Since I was young I use a harness n from there I learned how to walk in sync with my mom especially when she uses the shorter leash. Good review n golden thanks for sharing. Happy Monday Mischief. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Hey Torrey’s Mom, Jet here.
Thanks for sharing. My harness is REALLY old and well worn. Mom thinks the company that she purchased from is no longer making this item. So, when we need a harness, we have a place to start.
A great review and a great Roxy for letting mom take over your MM post!!

Wow what a difference! I’m heading over to that website now. Thanks so much for the recommendation! :)
Excellent review! We are glad the harness is working for you and will accompany you on many marvelous adventures
That looks like an interesting leash and harness system. Our bigger dogs used to pull, but they are much improved. Our puppy doesn’t know about pulling yet so we will see how he does as he grows up.
That could for sure help us stay out of trouble! Nice review!!
What a difference with the new harness on. I don’t pull unless I’m trying to meet another dog – and then my person has to grab me collar to keep me in place.
